Terms of Service
Last updated 3 July 2026 (draft v0.1)
These terms are a draft pending legal review and are not yet QED’s operative Terms of Service. They cover the parent dashboard and tutor dashboard account areas only, not the underlying tutoring service agreement.
1. Who this applies to
These terms apply to anyone with a registered account on the QED Education parent dashboard or tutor dashboard (“the Services”). They don’t apply to visitors just browsing the public site or submitting a Get Started enquiry — that’s covered by our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
- Parent dashboard accounts must be registered by an adult (18+) with parental responsibility for the student, or by the student themselves if 16 or older and the account relates to their own arrangements.
- Tutor dashboard accounts are for individuals who have completed QED’s vetting process and hold an active tutor/advocate/Family Contact role with us.
3. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at [contact email] if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. What the Services do
- Parent dashboard — view your Family Contact’s meeting summaries, manage bookings, view documents, and request plan/hours changes (reviewed and approved by your Family Contact).
- Tutor dashboard — description to be finalised once this dashboard is built.
5. Fees
Pricing and package fees are agreed with you directly and are not published on the public site. These terms only govern your use of the online dashboard.
6. Bookings, cancellations and plan changes
Changes to bookings or your plan are subject to QED’s policies communicated to you separately and confirmed by your Family Contact.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to: share your login with anyone else; attempt to access another user’s data or account; use the Services for anything unlawful; or attempt to interfere with the security or normal operation of the Services.
8. Confidentiality (tutors)
If you’re a tutor, advocate, or Family Contact with dashboard access, any information you see about students and families through the Services is confidential.
9. Intellectual property
The Services, including their content, design, and underlying software, belong to QED Education or its licensors.
10. Data protection
Our processing of your personal data through the Services is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
11. Liability
[To be finalised with legal advice: exclusion of liability for indirect/consequential loss, a liability cap, and carve-outs for things that can’t legally be excluded.]
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, or if your underlying service agreement with QED ends. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We’ll notify account holders of material changes with reasonable notice before they take effect.
14. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
15. Contact
